ܘܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ ܦܠܓܘܬܗܘܢ ܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ ܢܕܒ ܘܐܒܝܗܘ ܘܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܘܐܝܬܡܪ
w'ythmr w'lyezr w'byhw ndb d'hrwn bnwhy plgwthhwn d'hrwn wlbnwhy
These were the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

ܘܡܝܬܘ ܢܕܒ ܘܐܒܝܗܘ ܒܚܝ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ ܐܒܘܗܘܢ ܘܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܫܡܫܘ ܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܘܐܝܬܡܪ
w'ythmr 'lyezr wshmshw lhwn hww l' wbny' 'bwhwn d'hrwn bkhywhy w'byhw ndb wmythw
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; therefore Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.

ܘܦܠܓ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܘܝܕ ܣܕܘܩ ܡܢ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܘܐܚܝܡܠܟ ܡܢ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܐܝܬܡܪ ܠܡܢܝܢܗܘܢ ܒܫܘܠܛܢܗܘܢ

David, with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

ܘܐܫܬܟܚܘ ܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܕܣ̈ܓܝܐܝܢ ܠܪܝܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܐܝܬܡܪ ܘܦܠܓ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܠܪܝܫ ܐܢܫ ܠܒܝܬ ܐܒܗ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܘܗܘܘ ܒܡܢܝܢܐ ܫܬܬܥܣܪ ܘܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܝܬܡܪ ܠܒܝܬ ܐܒܗ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܠܪܝܫ ܐܢܫ ܬܡܢܝܐ

There were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and they were divided like this: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers’ houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers’ houses, eight.

ܘܦܠܓ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܦ̈ܨܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܥܡ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܗܘܘ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܝ ܩܘܕܫܐ ܘܫܠܝ̈ܛܝ ܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܘܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܝܬܡܪ

Thus they were divided impartially by drawing lots; for there were princes of the sanctuary and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

ܘܟܬܒ ܐܢܘܢ ܫܡܥܝܐ ܒܪ ܡܬܠܥܝܠ ܣ̇ܦܪܐ ܡܢ ܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܘܝܕ ܘܩܕܡ ܩܫܝ̈ܫܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܘܨܕܘܩ ܟܗܢܐ ܘܐܚܝܡܠܟ ܒܪ ܐܒܝܬܪ ܪ̈ܫܝ ܐܒܗ̈ܬܐ ܕܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܘܕܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܒܝܬ ܐܒܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܚܕ ܐܠܝܥܙܪ ܘܚܕ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܐܝܬܡܪ

Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, the princes, Zadok the priest, Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers’ house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

ܘܣܠܩܬ ܦܨܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܠܝܗܘܝܕܥ ܬܢܝܢܐ ܠܝܕܝܥܐ

Now the first lot came out to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

ܠܬܠܝܬܝܐ ܚܕܡ ܠܪܒܝܥܝܐ ܣܥܘܪܝܡ

the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

ܠܚܡܝܫܝܐ ܡܠܟܝܐ ܠܫܬܝܬܝܐ ܡܡܝܢ
mmyn lshthythy' mlky' lkhmyshy'
the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

ܠܫܒܝܥܝܐ ܐܩܘܨ ܠܬܡܝܢܝܐ ܐܒܝܐ
'by' lthmyny' 'qwts lshbyey'
the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

ܠܬܫܝܥܝܐ ܐܠܝܫܥ ܠܥܣܝܪܝܐ ܫܟܢܝܐ

the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

ܠܕܚܕܥܣܪ ܐܠܝܫܥ ܠܕܬܪܥܣܪ ܐܠܝܩܪܒ

the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

ܠܕܬܠܬܥܣܪ ܚܘܦܐ ܠܕܐܪܒܬܥܣܪ ܚܕܝܐ

the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

ܠܕܚܡܫܬܥܣܪ ܒܓܠܐ ܠܕܐܫܬܬܥܣܪ ܐܡܪ

the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

ܠܕܫܒܬܥܣܪ ܐܚܙܝܐ ܠܕܬܡܢܬܥܣܪ ܦܨܝܢ

the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

ܠܕܬܫܬܥܣܪ ܦܬܝܚܐ ܠܕܥܣܪܝܢ ܚܙܩܝܐܝܠ
khzqy'yl ldesryn pthykh' ldthshthesr
the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,

ܠܕܚܕ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܢܟܢܡ ܠܕܬܪܝܢ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܓܡܘܠ
gmwl wesryn ldthryn nknm wesryn ldkhd
the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,

ܠܕܬܠܬܐ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܕܠܝܐ ܠܕܐܪܒܥܐ ܘܥܣܪܝܢ ܡܥܕܝܐ
medy' wesryn ld'rbe' dly' wesryn ldthlth'
the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.

ܗܠܝܢ ܡܢܝܢܗܘܢ ܠܥܒܝܕ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܥ̇ܠܝܢ ܠܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܢܡܘܣ̈ܝܗܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܬܒܥܐ ܠܗܘܢ ܒܡ̣ܠܟܗ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ ܐܒܘܗܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
d'ysryl mrwth' mr' dpqd 'ykn' 'bwhwn d'hrwn bmlkh lhwn dmthbe' 'yk nmwsyhwn 'yk dmry' lbythh elyn lebydthhwn mnynhwn hlyn
This was their ordering in their service, to come into Yahweh’s house according to the ordinance given to them by Aaron their father, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

ܘܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܠܘܝ ܕܐܫܬܚܪܘ ܘܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܥܡܪܡ ܫܘܒܠ ܠܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܫܘܒܠ ܝܚܝܕܝܐ

Of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

ܘܐܪܚܒܝܐ ܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܐܪܚܒܝܐ ܩܫܝܫܗ ܫܘܐ
shw' qshyshh d'rkhby' lbnwhy w'rkhby'
Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.

ܘܝܨܗܪ ܘܣܠܡܘܬ ܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܣܠܡܘܬ ܢܚܬ
nkhth dslmwth lbnwhy wslmwth wytshr
Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

ܘܐܪܡܝܐ ܘܚܙܐܝܠ ܢܩܡܐܡ
nqm'm wkhz'yl w'rmy'
The sons of Hebron: Jeriah, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.

ܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܚܙܐܝܠ ܡܝܟܐ ܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܡܝܟܐ ܫܡܝܪ

The sons of Uzziel: Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.

ܘܝܫܘܐ ܠܒܢ̈ܘܗܝ ܕܝܫܘܐ ܙܟܪܝܐ
zkry' dyshw' lbnwhy wyshw'
The brother of Micah: Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
30
ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܠܘ̈ܝܐ . ܠܒܝܬ ܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ.
'bhyhwn lbyth lwy' bny 'nwn hlyn
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers’ houses.

ܘܐܪܡܝܘ ܐܦ ܗܢܘܢ ܦܨ̈ܐ ܠܘܩܒܠ ܐܚܝ̈ܗܘܢ܃ ܘܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܐܗܪܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܕܘܝܕ ܡܠܟܐ. ܘܨܕܘܩ ܘܐܚܝܡܠܟ. ܘܪ̈ܝܫܝ ܐܒܗ̈ܬܐ ܕܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܘܕܠܘ̈ܝܐ. ܒܚܘܫܒܢܐ ܘܒܡܢܝܢܐ . ܙܥܘܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܬܚܫܒ.
'thkhshb hkn' qshysh' 'khwhy 'yk zewr' wbmnyn' bkhwshbn' wdlwy' dkhn' 'bhth' wryshy w'khymlk wtsdwq mlk' dwyd qdm d'hrwn wbnwhy 'khyhwn lwqbl pts' hnwn 'p w'rmyw
These likewise cast lots even as their brothers the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers’ households of the priests and of the Levites, the fathers’ households of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
